DESCRIPTION : Hiking in Gran Canaria to the last laurel forest, the north side of Gran Canaria and the agriculture of Moya. Breathtaking nature and views on one of the most beautiful and greenest hikes in Gran Canaria. The last laurel forests of the north are like a jungle from prehistoric times and are located in the Doramas Natural Park. Our hike begins with a descent through a densely overgrown gorge, further through fairy tale landscapes, with fantastic views from the Virgin Valley, over the Camel Pass to the Zumacal Gorge, where we then take our lunch break. While we hike, admire and enjoy the views of the unique world of endemic plants around us, we’ll start our ascent while hiking through the laurel forest. Through a deep, lush gorge with huge eucalyptus trees, we walk along lemon and orange groves back to the finishing point. In winter, there is also the possibility of picking blackberries. One of the most beautiful walks on the Canary Islands. Unforgettable and unique, for the first time in our hiking program. |

Hiking Tour : Roque Nublo

DESCRIPTION : Make your way up to the Roque Nublo, with panoramic views of this natural giant and through the forests around its base. This is one of the most beautiful hiking tours in Gran Canaria. Our hike begins at 1.500 Hm, where we will start with our slow ascent to the Roque Nublo. Through a thick pineforest with a lot of different vegetation we will soon reach the top of our ascent, being able to see from afar the Roque Nublo with breathtaking views of the neighboring island of Tenerife and Teide, at 3718m Spain's highest mountain. The impressive views while trekking through this area are just breathtaking. Along an ancient "camino real" that we hike up, grow a variety of herbs and medicinal plants, about which we explain in detail. Arriving at the plateau below the Roque Nublo. During our walk in this region of Gran Canaria we will also be able to see Tejeda, a very famous tomato village with a lot of terrace agriculture systems. You can feel the absolute uniqueness of one of the most beautiful hikes of the Canary Islands. After our picnic, we continue our descent to finish again at the Parking place, where we will continue to have a drink together, in order to review all of the hiking day at the Roque Nublo. |

We start this walk at the Valleseco lagoon, where we’ll walk along roads and trails discovering the diversity of the local agriculture: apples, pears, persimmons and much more. IMPORTANT: we will be walking across a levada, so we must be sure-footed and have a head for heights. Good hiking shoes are a must. |
